Bully Sticks For Dogs Are One Of The Most Popular Dog Bones

So many dog owners are always looking for long lasting, healthy dog treats for their dogs. Concerned pet owners are often looking for dog bones that are safe and nutritional at the same time. If this sounds like you , then you may want to consider getting your pooch bully stick for dogs. Bully sticks are also known as pizzle sticks, beef sticks, or beef pizzles.

Bully Sticks are a great way to give your dog something to chew on that they’ll love. Bully sticks for dogs are a healthy dog treat and they are quickly becoming one of the most popular dog bones for many reasons. Like most dog chews, bully sticks promote healthy teeth and gums. The chewing action helps remove unwanted plaque buildup from your dog’s teeth. It also helps massage their gums and it prevents bad breathe. When you are looking for bully sticks you’ll want to look for a few things.  It’s a good idea to buy bully sticks that are made from free-ranging cattle, so you won’t have to worry about how safe they are. Free-range cattle do not consume feed that has been treated with pesticides or other harmful chemicals. You’ll  also want to make sure that the bully sticks that you purchase are 100% beef, meaning your dog will actually digest them. Many dog chews on the market are not digestible so this is another reason why so many pet owners like giving bully sticks to their pets.
Bully sticks for dogs are usually available in a variety of sizes. I have seen bully sticks ranging from 6″ to 36″.  As with all of our natural chews and treats, bully sticks are all USDA certified and inspected. A lot of merchants will actually refer to bully sticks as “beef tendons or dried muscles” which is sort of a half truth over all. In reality bully sticks are made from a bull’s penis.

The bull’s private which generally measures an average of 25 inches is carefully cleaned and hung in the air so the fluids are drained off. After wards, they are stretched, in some cases braided or twisted and then dried while adding a tasty smoky flavor that dogs just love.

Once stretched, the bully sticks turn out to be thin brown sticks that have lost their unpleasant smell once processed. The overstretched stick now measures up to 40 inches and can be divided into smaller sticks or 4 inches, 7 inches, 9 inches and 12 inches.

Bully sticks are very popular amongst dog owners because they last such a long time. I have two husky puppies that just love them. They are perfect cure for a bored or teething puppy. It’s not uncommon for dogs to chew on bully sticks for hours at a time. This is partially due to the fact that the dog bones are very hard to chew and they only soften with the dog’s saliva. Bully sticks will not splinter or break up in pieces.

Because bully sticks for dogs are also mostly 100% all natural, they are much more digestible than many other dog bones on the market. Bully sticks are so popular now that they can be found online and in almost all pet stores. While bully sticks are one the safest types of dog bones, it’s important to supervise your dog while they are chewing on a bully stick.
